하이브가 SM엔터테인먼트 이수만 창업주의 지분 14.8%를 인수하면서 SM 최대주주에 올랐습니다. 카카오가 이수만씨를 배제하고, 신주를 인수하는 방식으로 지분 9.05%를 확보해 2대 주주가 되겠다고 나선 지 사흘 만입니다. 지난 3일 SM 경영진도 이수만씨와의 관계를 정리하는 내용의 주주 중심 경영 전략을 발표했습니다. 이수만 씨는 강하게 반발했고, 결국 경쟁자인 하이브에 지분을 넘기는 결단을 내린 겁니다.
하이브는 이 씨의 지분에 더해 1주당 12만 원에 공개매수에 나서 지분을 40%까지 늘려 최대주주 자리에 올라서겠다는 계획입니다. 하지만, SM 주식 자체의 가격이 오르면서 경영권 분쟁은 '점입가경'의 모습입니다. 최근 한 대기업의 SM 인수전 참여설까지 가세하면서 주식 가격이 공개매수를 약속한 가격 12만원을 넘어선 것입니다.
이런 가운데, 하이브의 인수 발표로 궁지에 몰린 SM 이성수 공동대표는 유튜브를 통해 이수만씨의 역외탈세 의혹을 제기하며 전격 반격에 나섰습니다. 이수만씨가 자신의 경제적 이익에 소속 아티스트들을 동원했다고 주장하며, 추가 폭로도 예고했습니다.

Entertainment giant HYBE has become the largest stakeholder of SM Entertainment by acquiring 14.8% stake from the company's founder, Lee Soo-man.
The announcement was made after three days since Kakao stepped in and exclude Lee Soo-man to become the second-largest shareholder of SM Ent., securing 9.05% of the company's stake.
On February 3, board of directors of SM Entertainment also announced a 'shareholder-centered management' strategy, announcing that the company has decided to part ways with Lee Soo-man.
Lee Soo-man followed with a strong rebuttal, and eventually handed over his stake to HYBE.
In addition to Lee's stake, HYBE plans to make an offer of 120,000 KRW per share; in order to become the largest shareholder by increasing its stake to 40%.
However, as the stock price of SM Ent. continues to rise, the dispute has come to a dead-end.
As rumors of another conglomerate participating in the acquisition of SM Ent. has recently added, the stock price has exceeded the proposed price.
Lee Sung-su, the co-CEO of SM Entertainment, made a counterattack and raised suspicions of Lee Soo-man's overseas tax evasion through his recent YouTube video.
He claimed that Lee Soo-man "used" agency artists for his personal economic gain, and shared that he will continue to reveal more details about the company founder.
