On December 9, JTBC’s ‘Newsroom’ reported that Big Hit Ent. and BTS(방탄소년단) had a disagreement about profit distribution and that BTS was considering a legal action against their agency . On December 10, Big Hit Entertainment released a press release to deny JTBC's report. Big Hit made it clear that neither BTS members and their parents are considering filing a lawsuit against the agency. JTBC claimed that even before BTS's contract renewal, there was a disagreement between BTS and Big Hit, but Big Hit denied it as well. Big Hit also criticized JTBC's unprofessionalism. JTBC has not made a response yet.
